AARON WOOD

Aaron is a Chartered Trade Mark Attorney, Trade Mark Litigator and one of a very small number of trade mark attorneys with full rights of audience in the UK, meaning that he can appear as the advocate opposite barristers in appropriate cases.

Aaron has over 20 years’ experience in the field of brands, designs and copyright. Alongside his traditional work helping clients to protect their intellectual property, avoid the perils of third party intellectual property and ensure others do not take advantage of the client’s rights, Aaron has developed a growing practice assisting other specialist intellectual property firms with their toughest cases.

As well as being listed by the Chartered Institute of Trade Mark Attorneys as the trade mark attorney who has undertaken the most hearings in disputed cases over the past 5 years, Aaron has been recognised as an IP STAR by Managing Intellectual Property magazine and listed in World Trade Mark Review’s WTR1000. In 2021 he won Managing Intellectual Property Magazine’s “Impact Case of the Year” award for his work in Lenovo v. Comptroller General of Patents - a case which has had a significant effect on the registrability of software patents in the UK – and he was shortlisted for IP Practitioner of the Year by the same magazine.

Aaron’s client base includes celebrities, major fashion companies, fragrance and skincare companies and leading companies in the sports nutrition and entertainment fields.
