SOPHIE PALOMBO

Sophie Palombo qualified into the projects department at Simmons & Simmons LLP in September 2010. Her legal experience includes, working as legal consultant in London, Kigali, and Hong Kong. At Equity Juris Chambers, DLA Piper’s preferred partner in Kigali, Rwanda, Sophie was a legal consultant assisting on various commercial matters, including Rwanda’s largest project financing deal at the time. As an Axiom lawyer in Hong Kong, she worked in the prime brokerage legal team at Citibank. Sophie obtained an LLM in international and comparative law at George Washington University in Washington D.C. where she was a Thomas Buergenthal Scholar. She holds an undergraduate degree in Modern European Languages from Durham University. She speaks French and Spanish.

When she’s not working, she enjoys writing children’s books, spending time with her family, exploring the great outdoors and baking sourdough bread.
